PITTSBURGH PLASTICS LAUNCHES EUROPEAN SUBSIDIARY

Pittsburgh Plastics Manufacturing announces the formation of a European counterpart, PPM Europe Limited. The new company will provide the Pittsburgh Plastics' European customers with the opportunity to do business directly within the EU.
"The formation of PPM Europe we will enable us to provide a faster and more efficient service to our customers, as well as allowing Pittsburgh Plastics to further expand its operations within the EU," said company President and CEO Jim Zona. "It will also allow the company work more closely with our European customers on new product development. Another advantage is that customers in Europe will now be able to place orders and receive invoices in either Euros or Sterling making it much simpler for them to conduct business with us."
Colin Williams, former president and COO of Magister Corporation (a global supplier of polymer-based healthcare products) will serve as managing director of the new operation. Williams has more than 30 years of international experience in the development, manufacturing and marketing of products from soft polymer gels for healthcare, foot care and safety applications.
PPM Europe Ltd. will use bonded warehousing facilities in Southampton, England. These facilities are serviced by ABP Connect (Associated British Ports), known worldwide for its expertise in all aspects of shipping, transporting and warehousing.
Established in 1985, Pittsburgh Plastics Manufacturing Inc. owns both the Comfort Star® foot care and Turbie Twist® hair care brands. PPM specializes in the manufacturing of products made from soft and ultra-soft polymer gels and welded flexible films. The company supplies private label and OEM components in several markets including Foot Care, Medical and Personal Protective Equipment (Safety).
